We have been working with pupils and students, schools and parents since 2008.
Our links to the world of work and our current knowledge of what employers are looking for are what make us unique. All our coaches still work in the commercial world in a wide variety of sectors offering up-to-date insight and advice.
We all freely admit that we would have benefited from more meaningful direction and support at such an important time in our lives, which is why we are so passionate about what we do.
Bella Eccles, Founder, Business Development
Bella established Tinker Tailor in 2008 to offer a more bespoke service to young people, their parents and schools. She spent the early part of her career in recruitment and later in executive search. She has extensive experience of hiring graduate to board level candidates predominantly into investment banking and private equity. Her more recent experience has been with an online recruitment business for interns and graduates.
More motivated by a true desire to place the right people in the right jobs than to simply hit targets led her to working as a freelance consultant for a number of career advisory firms. During this time she networked extensively with school leaver and graduate employers and university admissions tutors, taking time to record and share their insights. Bella is a Qualified MBTI (Myers Briggs) Practitioner.
In an increasingly competitive market place self-awareness and knowledge of what you have to offer is key. She is passionate about helping young people understand their natural talents and explore careers where they are more likely to be satisfied and successful. LinkedIn
Susie Kendall, Director, Programme Development
Susie started her career in corporate law as a litigation solicitor and worked for a magic circle law firm, a US law firm and in-house for an international bank in London, Paris and Hong Kong.
Realising that her passion was people rather than law, she re-trained as a coach and facilitator, and worked for several years at London Business School delivering small group workshops on a variety of communications skills topics to students on MBA, Executive MBA and Senior Executive Programmes. She has also worked with events teams on highly impactful and experiential internal corporate programmes and conferences for clients such as GlaxoSmithKline, Adidas, Capgemini and lastminute.com.
